Filmmaker is responsible for supplying a high resolution format of their film. Contact the Festival director for assistance if needed.
For multiple entries, please note that each film entered must have a separate entry form.
Filmmakers will be notified of their status 6 weeks prior to the Festival by email. Filmmakers of chosen films will be our guest (plus 1) and receive 2 "all-access dog tags" passes (non transferable) to the entire NYC Festival day.
The NYDFF will travel to multiple U.S. locations annually although there is no guarantee that every film seen in the NYC annual premiere will be included in the edited traveling version.
Filmmaker's permission is granted to all destinations of the NYDFF in any year, and any subsequent broadcast uses, including streaming platforms including emerging technology.
NYDFF does not pay screening fees under any circumstance. By submitting your film, you are agreeing to screen your film without a screening fee or any other compensation if it is selected.
For promotional and publicity purposes, clips of any film entered into the Festival may be shown on any network, the internet, or related media.
NYDFF reserves the right to include any accepted films on any format used for promotional purposes.
Decisions of the Festival Authorities regarding all matters not expressly provided for in these regulations or which require interpretation of the clauses mentioned above shall be binding on all parties.
Submitting a film to the New York Dog Film Festival implies acceptance of these regulations.
If Your Film is Accepted
Filmmakers of accepted films will be contacted by September 15, 2017 (8 weeks prior to the Festival date). Those filmmakers choosing to attend will receive a special gift from Tracie as well as tickets for themselves and a guest to both programs in New York City on Sunday November 5, 2017.
The 3rd Annual NY Dog Film Festival will travel to cities across the country in 2018-19. By submitting a film the right to travel with the film is also granted, although its inclusion in the traveling program is not guaranteed even if accepted and shown in New York City (due to time constraints in other locations).
